A data breach has exposed the personal information of every person with a California permit to carry a concealed weapon, authorities said Tuesday.

The California Department of Justice suffered the breach as part of the launch of its 2022 Firearms Dashboard Portal, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, which said it was informed of the leak Tuesday by the California State Sheriffs’ Assn.

Study Predicts More Than a Quarter of US Abortion Clinics Will Close if Supreme Court Strikes Down ‘Roe’

A new study finds that more than a quarter of the 790 abortion facilities across the United States would close if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns the 1973 landmark Roe v. Wade decision, the case that legalized abortion nationwide.

As CBN News reported last month, a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito indicates that the court may be preparing to strike down the Roe decision that made abortion a constitutional right in America, according to a Politico report.

Thirteen states have trigger laws in place that would prohibit abortion should Roe be overturned by the high court in a decision expected at the end of the month, which would shift the issue to the state legislatures. Source: CBN News

News Analysis: Why is Saudi leader MBS meeting with leaders in Egypt, Jordan and even Turkey this month?

Which brings us to MBS’s decision this week to travel to Egypt to meet with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, then to Jordan to meet with King Abdullah II, and then to Turkey to meet with President Recip Tayyip Erdogan.

The mission: to shore up Saudi Arabia’s regional alliances, and try to all get on the same page before Biden comes to town.

The meetings in Cairo and Amman will be interesting and important.

But the meeting in Ankara with Erdogan is going to be fascinating.

Why?

Because Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in Turkey.

It was Turkish intelligence that bugged the Saudi consulate and thus uncovered the sickening plot by low- and mid-level Saudi operatives to drug, kill and then butcher Khashoggi.  Source: Arab News

‘Natural Immunity Wins Again’: Study Demonstrates Infection-Derived Immunity Likely Superior to COVID Vaccines

A new study published by the New England Journal of Medicine on June 9 found that protection from COVID-19 via natural immunity was superior to that of two doses of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine after the same amount of time elapsed among uninfected people.

“Natural immunity wins again,” Martin Adel Makary, M.D., M.P.H., a public policy researcher at Johns Hopkins University, wrote on Twitter, referring to the new study.

Natural immunity “protection was higher than that conferred after the same time had elapsed since receipt of a second dose of vaccine among previously uninfected persons,” concludes the study. Source: Epoch Times

Democrat congressman’s staffer caught defacing posters in Capitol complex, but DOJ won’t prosecute

Capitol Police caught Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Jake Auchincloss’s chief of staff defacing posters outside the Capitol complex office of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and referred him for criminal charges, but the same U.S. Attorney’s office that pursued the Jan. 6 defendants declined to approve an arrest warrant, according to police documents and interviews.

Capitol Police asked federal prosecutors back in March for an arrest warrant for Timothy Hysom, 51, a longtime Democrat congressional staffer who worked for Rep. Adam Schiff before rising to be Auchincloss’s top aide, after capturing Hysom on hidden camera security footage defacing Greene’s posters with stickers with religious messages, according to copy of the arrest warrant obtained by Just the News.
