Revival Sparks Reported in Spartanburg, SC, and There’s a Big Plan to Take It Statewide

(Worthy Insights) – An incredible move of God is stirring in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Over the past two years, there has been what locals are calling the beginning of a revival, and they are looking to take it all the way to the capital of the state.

It began with different outreach ministries sharing the gospel throughout the city, student-led clubs in high schools holding Christian rallies during lunchtime, and city-wide prayer meetings that bridged church, racial, and generational barriers. It is now moving toward a citywide multi-day evangelistic crusade taking place June 6-8 at the county fairgrounds. The organizers are looking to then move on to a statewide crusade in Columbia, South Carolina, in the fall.

There are no “big names” or “big bands involved.” In fact, the main speaker for the crusade is Jacob Ebersole of World Harvest. He is a local evangelist who has done work primarily overseas but felt stirred in 2023 to shift his focus to his hometown. The worship music for the event will be led by a mass gospel choir of 200+ people from the area. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Khamenei: ‘Liar’ Trump shouldn’t be dignified with response, ‘cancer’ of Israel to be eradicated

(Worthy Insights) – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei branded U.S. President Donald Trump a liar and reiterated his description of Israel as a “cancerous tumor” on Saturday.

Trump was lying when he said that he wanted peace in the region during his Gulf tour this week, the autocratic ruler of the Islamic Republic charged.

On the contrary, Khamenei went on, the U.S. uses its power to give “10-ton bombs to the Zionist regime to drop on the heads of Gaza’s children.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

Is the Trump-Bibi Rift Overblown?

(Worthy Insights) – Since arriving in the Persian Gulf this week, President Donald Trump has engaged in a flurry of regional diplomacy that in many cases has appeared to sideline Israel’s national security interests.

In an address to an investment forum in Riyadh on Tuesday, Trump called for an end to Israel’s “horrible” war against Hamas “as quickly as possible” and announced the lifting of U.S. sanctions on Syria’s Islamist-led government—after Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly asked him not to do so. On Wednesday, Trump outlined a softened U.S. position in ongoing negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, making no mention of past demands, echoed by Israel, that the regime dismantle its facilities entirely. Trump then met with Syrian president Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former Al Qaeda terrorist whom Israeli officials have continued to refer to as a jihadist, and later praised al-Sharaa as a “young, attractive guy. Tough guy. Strong past. Very strong past. Fighter.”

Trump’s freewheeling Persian Gulf tour continues a string of recent moves that the president has made in the Middle East with little apparent regard for Israel’s wishes—and in some cases, in direct opposition to them. But both Israeli and U.S. officials have denied talk of a growing rift, and the two countries have remained directionally aligned against Iran’s “axis of resistance.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

The US appears ready to sell Turkey advanced stealth aircraft, and Israel is worried

(Worthy Insights) – Senior Israeli officials confirmed Tuesday that Israel has conveyed messages to the Trump administration opposing the potential sale of F-35 stealth fighter jets to Turkey, citing concerns over a possible erosion of Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region.

The Israeli concerns come amid growing frustration over President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s increasingly hostile rhetoric toward Israel. In recent months, Erdogan has escalated his verbal attacks, most recently declaring, “May Allah destroy Zionist Israel,” and labeling the country a “terror state.”

During a joint press conference last month at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his fondness for Erdogan, saying, “I love him and he loves me. I told the prime minister: Bibi, if you have a problem with Turkey, I’ll help you solve it.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

Judge Rules Drag Show with ‘Lewd Sexual Acts’ Can Take Place Very Close to Kid’s Park

(Worthy Insights) – A U.S. District Judge has issued a preliminary injunction allowing a “grossly inappropriate, and sexually explicit drag show,” to be held in view of children at a June 7 “pride” festival, a non-profit legal group reports.

As CBN News reported, Liberty Counsel filed a motion on behalf of three Collier County parents to keep the sexualized LGBTQ performance away from a children’s playground.

The lawsuit came after the Naples City Council voted 5-2 in April to move the proposed drag show indoors away from Cambier Park, which is frequented by children, and to restrict the event to adults only. However, Naples Pride, an LGBT advocacy group, and the ACLU sued the city, claiming it violated their First Amendment rights by moving the event. The ACLU sought a preliminary injunction to overturn the city’s location and age restrictions. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Noah’s Ark site’s ‘fully preserved’ secrets discovered in radar scans by scientists: ‘Not what you’d expect to see’

(Worthy Insights) – American researchers claim to have cracked one of the Bible’s enduring mysteries — after using radar technology to map the possible remains of Noah’s Ark.

“It is exactly what you’d expect to find if this were a man-made boat, consistent with the biblical specifications of Noah’s Ark, ” Andrew Jones, an independent researcher, told the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), while revealing the groundbreaking results of his multi-year project.

The exact spot is the Durupinar site, a 538-foot-long boat-shaped mound — with the same Book of Genesis-described dimensions as the Ark said to have saved humanity and animals alike from a catastrophic flood more than 4,300 years ago.

Jones used ground-penetrating radar to detect what appeared to be a 13-foot tunnel traversing the center of the formation. [ Source (Read More…) ]

GOP Lawmakers Introduce Bill to Make Pornography a Federal Crime

(Worthy Insights) – Congressional Republicans have proposed new legislation that would overhaul the legal definition of obscenity and give the federal government more power to prosecute online pornography.

The law, led by Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois, would open the door to federal restrictions or bans regarding online porn.

The Interstate Obscenity Definition Act would amend the Communications Act of 1934 and update the Supreme Court’s 1973 Miller test, which has guided how courts determine what qualifies as obscene content. The goal is to make it easier to ban or restrict online porn, especially content accessible to minors. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Planned Parenthood boasts of continuing abortions

(Worthy Insights) – The country’s largest abortion provider received over $2 billion in public and private funding during the fiscal year ending in June of 2023, according to the 2023-2024 annual report released Monday. About $684 million came from private contributions while about $792 million came from taxpayer dollars through government grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements. Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding has increased by 50% since 2013, according to the pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute.

The organization’s number of abortions and level of public funding hit a ten-year high, according to a WORLD analysis of Planned Parenthood’s annual reports over the last decade. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute agree that the number of U.S. abortions peaked in 1990.

During the 2022-2023 fiscal year, Planned Parenthood performed 402,230 abortions, over 9,500 more than the previous year. By comparison, the organization provided just 7,008 prenatal services, 3,598 miscarriage care services, and only 2,148 adoption referrals. [ Source (Read More…) ]

‘Glow’ From Humans Stops At Death, Study Says. Here’s Why Understanding It Could Save Lives.

(Worthy Insights) – A new study of ultraweak photon emission, the process in which organisms exhibit a spontaneous emission of light without an external excitation, used a technology to demonstrate that the glow from that process ends upon death, a technology that may be used in the future to aid in the detection of human disease.

University of Calgary Professor Dan Oblak and his colleagues studied rats using digital cameras while the temperature remained steady and light was excluded.

“The fact that ultraweak photon emission is a real thing is undeniable at this point,” Oblak stated. “This really shows that this is not just an imperfection or caused by other biological processes. It’s really something that comes from all living things.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

Israeli archaeologists resume excavations at ancient capital of biblical kingdom

(Worthy Insights) – For the first time in decades, Israeli archaeologists resumed excavations at Sebastia on Monday, aiming to preserve what was once the capital of the Biblical Kingdom of Israel and make it accessible to the public.

“The works are currently centered around one of the main streets of the city with the ‘Hellenistic Gate,’ with dozens of columns along it. The goal is to make the area accessible to the public.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

DOJ launches investigation into Texas mosque over proposed Muslim community

(Worthy Insights) – The U.S. Department of Justice has opened an investigation into a proposed Muslim community development in North Texas, citing concerns over potential violations of federal law.

The investigation targets EPIC City, a 402-acre project backed by the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) in Josephine, Texas, about 40 miles northeast of Dallas. The planned development — which includes over 1,000 homes, a mosque, a K-12 faith-based school, clinics, retail shops, a community college and sports facilities — has sparked controversy among Texas Republican leaders.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott, Attorney General Ken Paxton and conservative activists have claimed that the project aims to create a Muslim-only community governed by Islamic law, allegations which both EPIC officials and Islamic leaders have denounced. [ Source (Read More…) ]
