Wikipedia’s co-founder converts to Christianity. Why is this important?

(Worthy Insights) – Early this month, Larry Sanger announced that he had come to Christ. We should rejoice when anyone becomes a Christian, but this conversion is especially interesting. Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia, is another in a notable line of skeptics who have recently become believers, or are well on their way to.

Sanger’s background makes him a seemingly unlikely convert. As he put it when describing his testimony:

“Throughout my adult life, I have been a devotee of rationality, methodological skepticism, and a somewhat hard-nosed and no-nonsense (but always open-minded) rigor. I have a Ph.D. in philosophy, my training being in analytic philosophy, a field dominated by atheists and agnostics. Once, I slummed about the fringes of the Ayn Rand community, which is also heavily atheist. So, old friends and colleagues who lost touch might be surprised.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

Biotech company hoping to revive woolly mammoth, creates ‘woolly mouse’: Study

(Worthy Insights) – Starting small to later go big, scientists hoping to bring woolly mammoths back from extinction have genetically engineered the “woolly mouse.”

Researchers said they implanted genetically modified embryos into female mice which then gave birth to the first pups in October of 2024.

Scientists used genetic engineering techniques to combine mammoth DNA and mouse DNA to successfully create mice with fat and fur similar to a mammoth, which provides insulation for the mammal to survive cold weather. [ Source (Read More…) ]

U.S. Supreme Court says no to ruling on constitutionality of college bias response teams

(Worthy Insights) – The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a case on college programs which a conservative group claimed chills free speech and pushes students to be fearful to express an unpopular or controversial viewpoint.

The nation’s highest court turned down the opportunity to weigh in on a lawsuit against Indiana University, brought on by the student First Amendment rights group Free Speech, which centered on the constitutionality of college bias response teams and issues surrounding free speech rights.

“Instead of allowing free-range debate, many colleges are more interested in protecting students from ideas that make them uncomfortable,” the advocacy group told the Supreme Court in court documents. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Netanyahu accuses Israeli media of cooperating with the ‘deep state’

(Worthy Insights) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused media outlets of “constantly lying to the public in the service of and in full cooperation with the deep state,” during a Knesset debate on Monday.

“The media are not news channels; they are fake channels,” the prime minister charged during a so-called 40-signature debate, which the opposition can call once a month and which he is obliged to attend.

Netanyahu noted allegations that have resurfaced in recent days that former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak met with the accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein at least 36 times between 2013 and 2017. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Honda To Move Production to US Ahead of Trump’s Mexican Tariffs: Report

(Worthy Insights) – Honda is shifting production of the Civic from Mexico to the United States, in response to President Donald Trump’s planned 25 percent tariffs on Mexican imports, sources told Reuters.

Starting in May 2028, the Japanese automaker will begin manufacturing the new Civic hybrid in Indiana to avoid potential tariffs, the sources said. The Civic, one of Honda’s top-selling models, is expected to have an annual output of around 210,000 units.

The announcement comes just a day before Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on Mexican and Canadian goods are set to take effect, part of the administration’s efforts to curb drug trafficking and illegal immigration. Trump announced a 30-day pause on the tariffs, which were originally slated to go into effect last month, after Mexico and Canada agreed to deploy troops and personnel to secure their borders with the United States. Major Court Rules Parents Have No Right To Know A School Is Transitioning Their Child

(Worthy Insights) – A major court has ruled that parents don’t have the right to know that their child is changing genders while at school.

The opinion, from the First Circuit Court of Appeals, determined that it does not violate parental rights for a school to transition a child without the parents’ knowledge.

“[P]arental rights are not unlimited,” the court ruled. “Parents may not invoke the Due Process Clause to create a preferred educational experience for their child in public school.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

“A U.S. Crypto Reserve will elevate this critical industry after years of corrupt attacks by the Biden Administration, which is why my Executive Order on Digital Assets directed the Presidential Working Group to move forward on a Crypto Strategic Reserve that includes XRP, SOL, and ADA,” he said in a post on Truth Social. “I will make sure the U.S. is the Crypto Capital of the World.”

‘We Did Not Ask for Protection’: Syrian Druze Reject Netanyahu’s Intervention

(Worthy Insights) – Jaramana, a town near the Syrian capital of Damascus, has become the epicenter of rising tensions, leading to casualties among Syrian security forces and rebel fighters.

While Syrian state media claims the rebels are remnants of the fallen Assad regime, many of them belong to the Druze minority, a group that has historically sought to maintain autonomy amid Syria’s conflicts.

The recent unrest, triggered by clashes between security forces and armed local factions, has prompted a significant military response from Damascus. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned of possible military intervention to “protect the Druze community in Jaramana,” raising further geopolitical stakes. CNN: Deep State Bureaucrats Threaten To Sell State Secrets If Trump Isn’t Nice To Them

(Worthy Insights) – Brace yourself as the propaganda press tries to stop President Donald Trump from culling corruption from the deep state. Expect “news” stories screaming about ordinary budget and staff cuts that would happen in any bloated private business but under Trump will be described as unfair or even dangerous.

Take, for example, the Feb. 24 number from CNN, “How Trump’s government-cutting moves risk exposing the CIA’s secrets.” The short report required four CNN writers, Katie Bo Lillis (who was involved in a story that led to a defamation trial in which a jury found that CNN was literally fake news), Phil Mattingly, Natasha Bertrand, and Zachary Cohen.

Lebanon seizes $2.5M destined for Hezbollah after stopping man at airport in ‘unprecedented’ bust

(Worthy Insights) – A man allegedly carrying $2.5 million in cash destined for the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah reportedly was detained Friday at Beirut’s airport in a bust that an expert told Fox News Digital is “unprecedented.”

“The detainee and the seized funds will be handed over to the investigation division at the General Directorate of General Security,” Lebanon’s finance ministry said in a statement obtained by Reuters, which cited sources saying that the man had been traveling from Turkey.

“We are seeing indications that the terrorist Hezbollah group funded by the Islamic Republic is still committed to rearming and rebuilding its decimated infrastructure,” Israeli ambassador to the U.N. Danny Danon told Fox News Digital. “This is yet another attempt of Tehran to destabilize the Middle East. Israel will not hesitate to defend itself from any threat it perceives from the north.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

‘The Great Communion Revival’: Massive Event with 2 Miles of Tables from Capitol to Lincoln Memorial

(Worthy Insights) – In 2024, a gathering of believers with prophetic spiritual gifts – led by revivalist Lou Engle who co-founded of TheCall solemn assemblies – inspired women to prepare for a historic prayer meeting on the National Mall later that year. Eight months later on October 12, the biblical Day of Atonement, 350,000 women convened in Washington, D.C. for a first of its kind worship service.

That powerful day included communion – a remembrance of the shed blood and broken body of Jesus Christ. Now there are plans for another massive communion moment in 2025 as well.

With a theme from Isaiah 22:22 – “The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; So he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open” – a new plan has been unveiled for two miles of tables from the Capitol building to the Lincoln Memorial for what may be the largest communion celebration in the history of the nation on Oct. 12, 2025. Exclusive: Israel To Resume War in Gaza and ‘Eradicate Hamas,’ Cutting Off Aid and Bombarding Strip with Troops

(Worthy Insights) – Israeli decision-makers plan to resume the Gaza war in four to six weeks with overwhelming force, sending in tens of thousands of troops to conquer the entire strip in a single coordinated offensive against Hamas.

Incoming military chief of staff Eyal Zamir has, at the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defense minister Israel Katz, started developing the plan, according to several current and former Israeli officials with knowledge of high-level discussions. Under the plan, Israel will deploy more troops to Gaza than it has to this point in the war—over 50,000—before relocating Gaza’s civilian population to humanitarian zones and waging a ruthless ground campaign against Palestinian terrorists across the rest of the strip.

“We’re going to see four to five divisions simultaneously attack in the north, in the center, and in the south, to occupy every area and clear out the enemy,” said Hezi Nehama, a former Israeli colonel who co-authored the Generals’ Plan, an influential proposal for a staged siege of Gaza. “It will look different than what we saw in the war until now.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

Op-Ed: This is a window of opportunity for an attack on Iran

(Worthy Insights) – Israel is approaching a critical decision regarding a potential strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. This comes against the backdrop of alarming advancements in various components of Iran’s nuclear project and an understanding that this moment presents a strategic opportunity, given Iran’s relative weakness and Israel’s close coordination with the new US administration.

For the past 15 years, Israel has intermittently considered the possibility of attacking Iran’s nuclear sites. The issue peaked in the early 2010s and was one of the key factors leading to the 2015 nuclear deal. Following the agreement, Israel significantly reduced its focus on the matter, redirecting resources elsewhere. After the US withdrew from the deal in 2018 under President Donald Trump first term, Israel did not immediately accelerate its preparations. The directive to intensively resume preparations was issued only in 2022 by then-Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Gallup: US Trust in Media Hits 50-Year Low

(Worthy Insights) – A new poll shows that the level of trust Americans have in mainstream media outlets to fairly and accurately report the news has dropped to the lowest level in more than 50 years since Gallup began tracking media trust in the United States.

In the latest Gallup survey, just under 1 in 3 Americans said they trust the mainstream news media “a great deal” or “a fair amount,” while more than one-third say they don’t trust the media “at all.”

Gallup’s initial survey of Americans’ trust in the media, conducted in the 1970s, showed that almost 70% of Americans at the time had a great deal or a fair amount of trust in the news media. Those numbers have steadily declined in the decades since despite some spots of improvement, the most recent being in 2017 and 2018. [ Source (Read More…) ]
