Trump Reverses Sanctions on Israelis in Day 1 Executive Order

(Worthy Insights) – President Donald Trump returned to the White House on Monday with a flurry of executive orders and statements in support of Israel.

Trump reversed the Biden administration’s sanctions on Israelis, suspended new aid for the Palestinians, and withdrew the United States from the U.N. World Health Organization, which Israel has accused of colluding with Hamas. The president also spoke of confronting Iran and normalizing Israeli-Saudi relations—and vowed to bring home the remaining hostages abducted in Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

Overall, day one of Trump’s second term signaled a return to form for the president, whose first administration waged a “maximum pressure” sanctions campaign against Iran, oversaw normalization between Israel and four Arab states, and recognized Israel’s claims to Jerusalem and the Golan Heights. Trump’s Executive Orders On Immigration Prove Biden Could Have Secured The Border At Any Time

(Worthy Insights) – One of the first things President Donald Trump did after being sworn in at the inauguration Monday was sign a series of executive orders on immigration and the border. A few of them stand out because they demonstrate how the border could have been secured at any point over the past four years by the Biden administration, without any action or new legislation from Congress.

That it wasn’t is a testament to the fact that Biden and the Democrats wanted mass illegal immigration, they wanted chaos on the southern border, and they wanted the Mexican drug cartels to be empowered and enriched. These were outcomes they intentionally chose, over and against border security and the historic low levels of illegal immigration they inherited from the first Trump administration.

Here’s what Trump did. First, he declared an emergency at the border and ordered the U.S. military to immediately resume construction of the border wall, which Biden had abruptly halted upon taking office (so abruptly, in fact, that construction materials were simply left on site or abandoned when Biden ordered work on the wall to cease). 61 Hacks Who Peddled Russian Collusion And Should Never Be Trusted Again

(Worthy Insights) – Since 2016, some big names—both inside the government and out—have peddled the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy with such vigor you’d think they invested their life savings in Reynolds Metal Company. Now that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has closed the door on such hysteria, let’s take a look back at the Most Mistaken Men and Women in America (and the world). Jan. 6 Committee Raises ‘White Flag,’ Withdraws Major Action Against Trump

(Worthy Insights) – The House Jan. 6 committee has dropped its subpoena against former President Donald Trump as it wraps up work and prepares to dissolve next week.

Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson, the committee’s Democratic chairman, wrote in a letter to Trump lawyer David Warrington on Wednesday that he is formally withdrawing the subpoena.

“As you may know, the Select Committee has concluded its hearings, released its final report and will very soon reach its end,” Thompson wrote. “In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena.” [ Source: Western Journal (Read More…) ]

Twitter Files Reveal Internal Dialogues On Why Trump Was Banned From Platform

Internal Twitter conversations released Friday by reporter Matt Taibbi showed the deliberations that Twitter executives had when deciding to ban former President Donald Trump from the platform in January of 2021.

Trump’s account ban was ultimately justified by Twitter executives as looking at the “context surrounding” Trump and his supporters “over the course of the election and frankly last 4+ years,” one internal conversation shows, according to Taibbi’s Twitter thread.

Before the riot on Jan. 6, Twitter was already closely moderating Trump’s Twitter account by employing “a vast array of tools for manipulating visibility,” Taibbi tweeted. Trump’s account was reportedly “covered in bots,” with “bot” meaning “any automated heuristic moderation rule,” on the day of the riot, according to Taibbi. Source: Daily Caller

‘Twitter Files’ Expose Michelle Obama’s Personal Involvement in Trump’s Ban, But That’s Just the Beginning

The latest installment of the “Twitter Flies” notes the extent to which public pressure as well as private machinations contributed to Twitter’s decision to ban former President Donald Trump in January 2021.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama posted an irate tweet on Jan. 7, 2021, one day after the Capitol incursion.

“Now is the time for Silicon Valley companies to stop enabling this monstrous behavior — and go even further than they have already by permanently banning this man from their platforms and putting in place policies to prevent their technologies from being used by the nation’s leaders to fuel insurrection,” she wrote in part of her statement. Report: Trump Aims to Drain the Swamp in 2025 – Plans Post-Election Purge of DOJ, FBI, Intelligence Community

Former President Donald Trump may not have made an official announcement about a second run at the White House, but according to insiders he has already decided how he would gut the deep state if he does run and win a second term, a new report states.

Trump is eyeing a wave of firings, restructuring and cutting of the federal government that could see as many as 50,000 federal employees fired, the political news site Axios reported Friday.

One of Trump’s campaign aims in 2016 was to “drain ‘the swamp’” — a euphemism that has long been applied to Washington D.C. — and to reduce or eliminate the deep state full of perfunctory federal employees that costs the government billions and has enshrined the power of the unelected, unaccountable regulatory state.  Source: Western Journal

Famed liberal law professor predicts Bannon convictions will be overturned

Famed Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz is predicting that ex-Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s contempt of Congress conviction by a jury will be overturned on constitutional grounds.

Friday’s convictions are “entirely in violation of the Constitution” in part because the jury was comprised of “probably 97 percent Trump haters,” Dershowitz told Newsmax.

”The only provision of the Constitution, which appears basically twice, is trial by jury in and in front of a fair jury,” he explained.

”Number one, he didn’t have a fair jury. Number two, the judge took his defenses away from him,” he added. Source: Just the News
