Barna: America needs ‘spiritual renewal’ as fewer than half of Americans believe God exists

(Worthy Insights) – A new survey has found that more than half of Americans do not believe God exists or that He “affects lives,” prompting one prominent researcher to highlight the need for “sweeping national repentance and spiritual renewal.”

The Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University released the second installment of its American Worldview Inventory 2025 on Wednesday.

The research found that overall, 60% of Americans do not believe God exists or that He “affects lives.” Nearly half of self-identified Christians (47%) and a slightly smaller share of theologically identified born-again Christians (40%) said the same. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Over 4,000 commit to follow Jesus at ‘Encountering God’ gathering in Ethiopia as Franklin Graham proclaims the ‘unchanging Gospel’

(Worthy Insights) – Sixty-five years after his father, the late Billy Graham, first preached in Addis Ababa, Franklin Graham returned to the Ethiopian capital for a two-day evangelistic outreach on March 8-9 dubbed “Encountering God,” drawing hundreds of thousands and witnessing over 4,000 commitments to Jesus Christ.

Graham, who was on his 11th visit to Ethiopia emphasized the enduring relevance of the Gospel message his father shared decades ago. “My father preached the same Gospel message 65 years ago,” Graham told reporters at a press conference attended by forty media outlets. “The world has changed, politics have changed, but the Gospel does not change. It’s the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.”

The outreach was organized by the Ethiopian Council of Gospel Believers’ Churches, a coalition of over 3,000 churches in Ethiopia. The evangelistic gathering was preceded by months of preparation, prayer and discipleship training. Seneshat Teka, Director of Spiritual Development at the council highlighted that while most Ethiopians have some form of religious belief, there is often a strong emphasis on tradition and non-Biblical doctrine. She emphasized the importance for evangelical pastors to remain focused on “the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

Missouri AG Orders Planned Parenthood Clinics to ‘Cease-And-Desist’ Chemical Abortions

(Worthy Insights) – Missouri’s Attorney General has issued a cease-and-desist order against Planned Parenthood facilities in the state to keep them from offering chemical abortions in the state.

“This order is a necessary enforcement mechanism to prevent Planned Parenthood from continuing to disregard Missouri law and to protect the health and safety of Missouri women,” Attorney General Andrew Bailey said in a recent press release.

“Planned Parenthood has a documented history of subverting state law, including failure to file complication reports,” he continued. “This cease and desist letter ensures that basic health and safety standards are met. Given Planned Parenthood’s history, I will continue to ensure their compliance with state law.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

Bible Sales Soar in the U.K. and U.S. Signaling a Global Spiritual Awakening

(Worthy Insights) – Bible sales have nearly doubled in the United Kingdom in the past five years according to new data that reflects similar trends in the United States and indicates a growing hunger for God’s Word throughout the world. Sales of the Bible increased 87 percent in the U.K. between 2019 and 2024, according to data compiled by the Christian publisher SPCK Group using information from Nielsen Book Data. The Times newspaper in London first reported on the trend.

Books about religion are on the rise, too, in the United Kingdom, increasing 3 percent between 2023 and 2024 and bucking a nationwide decline that actually saw non-fiction book sales plummet 6 percent during that same timeframe.

The United States has seen a similar surge.

Last fall, The Wall Street Journal cited Circana BookScan book tracking data showing that Bible sales had increased 22 percent compared to the same time frame a year earlier. Similarly, the publishing arm of the Southern Baptist Convention said Bible sales had soared 30 percent in the past year, according to a December report. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Christian groups condemn Satanic ‘black mass’ at the Kansas Statehouse

(Worthy Insights) – A Kansas-based Satanic organization is hosting a “black mass” March 28 at the Kansas Statehouse, drawing condemnation from Christian organizations.

A “black mass” is an intentionally blasphemous parody of a Catholic Mass. The Satanic Grotto, which is hosting the event, said it will “dedicate the grounds and our legislature to the glory of Satan.” Satanic Grotto president Michael Stewart said it will entail a “four-part” ritual.

“The overall theme in it is expressing the hurt and anger and some of the feelings that come from being oppressed by a religion you didn’t ask for and didn’t consent to,” Stewart said. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Washington admits Hamas talks backfired—now a secret deadline looms

(Worthy Insights) – Hamas has refused to budge on its latest offer to release only one live hostage, Israeli American citizen Edan Alexander, along with the remains of four other captives with dual citizenship, while the U.S. has issued an unspecified deadline, warning of consequences if the group does not agree to a broader deal.

Israel, meanwhile, is awaiting Hamas’ response to a renewed proposal calling for the release of 11 live hostages and 16 bodies, in exchange for a 40-day cease-fire extension through Ramadan and Passover.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has convened an emergency meeting Saturday evening to discuss the stalled negotiations, receiving a briefing from the delegation that returned from Doha. The discussion will also include possible military responses, ranging from targeted operations to a broader offensive, should talks collapse entirely. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Oklahoma House Passes Bill Requiring ‘Chemical Castration’ For Sex Offenders Who Want Parole

(Worthy Insights) – This week, the Oklahoma House passed a bill requiring registered child sex offenders to be “chemically castrated” in order to be released on parole.

House Bill 2422 states that a sex offender must be someone who is over the age of 21 and who has committed a crime involving physical touch against a child under the age of 13 that requires registration as a sex offender. If a mental health evaluation determines that the sex offender would commit a sex crime again, the offender is offered the possibility of hormonal treatment in order to gain parole, which must be accepted voluntarily.

“Reoffending, ending treatment or seeking reversal of the treatment, which ‘use chemicals or drugs to stop sex hormone production,’ would result in returning to prison for life without the possibility of parole,” Oklahoma Voice reported. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Mike Huckabee’s appointment as Israel ambassador could be in jeopardy

(Worthy Insights) – The Senate confirmation hearing for Gov. Mike Huckabee to become the U.S. ambassador to Israel was delayed once again—this time from March 13 to March 25.

According to sources close to the Trump administration, the postponement was driven by Democratic opposition and pressure from the liberal Jewish community, adding another layer of controversy to his appointment.

“The Democrats will do everything possible to delay the hearing,” said Friends of Zion founder Mike Evans. After learning of the delay, Evans wrote a letter to all members of the Senate in support of Huckabee’s nomination. That letter was disseminated on Tuesday. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Embryos are the new fuel for AI. Is this the future we want?

(Worthy Insights) – Unborn children are being harvested as an energy source to fuel rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, a development that should deeply concern everyone. In recent decades, tremendous breakthroughs in stem cell research and its applications have led to new medical treatments for diseases once thought incurable, which is generally a positive development for society. However, some novel stem cell research has crossed a bright ethical boundary, such as using embryonic stem cells to create human brains — called “organoids” — for biocomputing.

AI consumes energy at an unprecedented scale, leading to an equally unprecedented global appetite for more efficient energy sources. For instance, a simple query to ChatGPT requires approximately 10 times more energy than a typical Google search. As a result, those who use AI — which already affects most individuals and companies to some degree — are urgently seeking ways to consume less power and cut rapidly rising costs.

To meet that demand, scientists have begun embracing the concept of biocomputing, which has been purely in the realm of science fiction until very recently. Biocomputing is essentially a merger between biology and computer technology. Biocomputers have already been built using a combination of lab-grown human brain tissue and electronic circuitry. Israeli Expert: Through USAID, Taxpayers Funded Terror Regimes Even after October 7th Atrocities

(Worthy Insights) – Roman cited Gaza as a case study, telling lawmakers, “$2.1 billion in American taxpayers’ money (went) to Gaza since October 7, when Hamas invaded southern Israel. USAID money was going in terms of an emergency use authorization to try to go to parties that USAID formerly had a relationship with in the Gaza Strip.”

Roman continued, “They had to have been vetted by OFAC (the Office of Foreign Assets Control). They should have been vetted against the special designated terror list from the State Department and from other Treasury organizations.”

Roman explained that the investigation of the funding told a different story. He testified that “Waivers were granted because they said there was an emergency use to have that money come into Gaza, thereby jettisoning the usual typical screening procedures. As a result, 90 percent of aid that was going from the United States by way of its agents in Gaza ended up in Hamas-controlled areas.”

“This is ridiculous,” he declared. “Essentially, what the U.S. assistance to Gaza did was underwrite the ability for Hamas to survive until the ceasefire was just passed.” [ Source (Read More…) ]
