Several unions sued, arguing the order “violates federal law.” O’Toole issued a ruling Thursday delaying the deadline until at least Monday, though O’Toole “did not express an opinion on the legality of Trump’s buyback program,” according to Fox News.

The emails, which were obtained in a lawsuit and released by the nonprofit conservative public interest group, show then-Deputy White House Counsel Jonathan Su took a phone call with National Archives and Records Administration officials to discuss the missing boxes allegedly retained illicitly by Trump in September 2021, delaying the agency’s referral to the Department of Justice until after the White House filed a “special access request” the following year.

The allegation followed a discrepancy observers noted between the short tease that CBS released in advance of the full “60 Minutes” episode and the final cut that aired and showed Harris offering a different answer to the same question.
What we know now is that CBS’s original explanation for the issue, that it merely used a separate portion of a longer answer in the production that went to air, is true. But that doesn’t clear the network of its questionable decision to clean up not only that newsworthy portion of the interview, in which Harris’s fuller answer is hysterically confused, but in other parts, too. A few of them stand out because they demonstrate how the border could have been secured at any point over the past four years by the Biden administration, without any action or new legislation from Congress.
That it wasn’t is a testament to the fact that Biden and the Democrats wanted mass illegal immigration, they wanted chaos on the southern border, and they wanted the Mexican drug cartels to be empowered and enriched. The directive also pulls the security clearance of John Bolton, who served as national security advisor in Trump’s first term.
“To remedy these abuses of the public trust, this Order directs the revocation of any active or current security clearances held by: (i) the former intelligence officials who engaged in misleading and inappropriate political coordination with the 2020 Biden presidential campaign; and (ii) John R. Bolton,” the order reads.
